Her daughter Chanel Williams was killed by Long. “No remorse no anything I would like to have seen more pain the pain he inflicted that we have in our hearts,” Lula Williams said. Victims family members said the process was too peaceful for a man that didn’t deserve it. Paluska described watching Long open his mouth several times and take what appeared to be “big yawns.” As the lethal doses were administered Long twitched and his breathing became more and more shallow. His final word was “no” after he was asked if he had any final statements. Long never opened his eyes and showed no emotion.

The injections were first administered at 6:43 p.m. The execution chamber was packed with media, prison officials and 26 other witnesses that included survivors and victim family members.
